FIRST SCREENING SUCCESSFUL: WE SURVIVED! Intrepid Filmmakers Survive Sewer Problems Denton, TX — Dusty's Bar and Grill, in Denton, was the first venue for a public screening of our two short films Calvary and Blood and Stone. We're especially thankful to all the friends who drove up to see us, and the new friends from Dallas and UNT who droped in. Thanks too to Audacity Productions (whose website has, sadly, gone down) for helping us out by contributing Joe's Gnomes and ...Known as Frump to the evening's program. Audacity has also arranged with A. V. Phibes for one of her excellent productions to be screened at our December showcase. All this fun didn't come easy, though--when we arrived at Dusty's, the bar was closed: their neighbor's sewer drain was plugged, and stuff was seeping into the bar. But we pitched in, and with hard work from us (and even more from the staff) the bar was cleaned up and ready for the public in time for the show. The first screening was a lot of fun, so we're planning a second showcase in late December. Check back here for more information, including how to show your film! |
Good News From IRS IRS letter lost by USPS Dallas — In Blood of Innocence is proud to announce that, after it submitted a lengthy application this spring, it was awarded 501(c)3 status by the IRS. The letter which would have let us know this was, sadly, lost in the mail. A phone call recently cleared the matter up, however, and we'll be proud to accept your donations and provide you with a tax deduction. |

Historical Perspectives How did we get here? First, there was Nosferatu. Then, there was Shadow of the Vampire. Finally, there were two friends coming out of the theatre thinking "we need to do this!" A few hundred hours of work later, Innocence... For more details, see page 2. |
Blood and Stone
It's a wrap! The music for Blood and Stone is finished, and you can now both see and hear the movie in its final form. Video tapes are now on order to make the long-awaited cast and crew copies. For more information about our first film, see page 4. |
